Has anyone successfully implemented a DNS alias in the client configuration instead of the Core Server Name? We would like to move away from using the Core Server name in the client config to facilitate upgrades, etc. We tend to have clients of various versions (for various reasons), that are reporting to old (non-existent) Core servers. So, as we move to a new core, we need to make numerous DNS changes to ensure all clients report/re-direct to the correct Core. If we used one standard alias (from this point forward), we would only need to have one entry updated. Thanks and let me know your thoughts.
